Australia’s beaches are for everyone!
The International Beach Safety Program aims to help international students and migrants learn how to stay safe at Australia’s beaches, so they can enjoy the beautiful coastline!
This program gives you the chance to hear from a lifeguard about how to keep yourself and others safe while at the beach. You’ll also have the chance to get in the water (if you want to) and have a go on some of the boats! There is also a basic first aid course, which teaches you everything you need to know about saving lives (a basic first aid course normally costs $99 or more).
We’re dedicated to ensuring that everyone has equal opportunities to be part of Australia’s vibrant culture and friendly society. Therefore, the program aims to make sure you feel more confortable around the water.
To make it easier for you, a free shuttle bus will be at Joondalup Train Station, departing at 9:30am (please arrive before 9:25am to make sure you don’t miss the bus!).
