The Enactus ECU team are the winners of the Enactus National Competition held in Sydney 5-7 July 2016. They will be representing Australia for the first time at the Enactus World Cup in Toronto, Canada in September 2016.
The two projects run by Enactus ECU showed it’s positive impact on the local community through entrepreneurial action. The team of 24 students spent thousands of hours volunteering to teach senior citizens with digital technology and reducing food waste going to landfill.The project ‘Waste Not’ was awarded the prestigious Graham Kraehe Community Project – Brambles Food Waste Challenge.
A team of 6 students and two Faculty Advisors (left to right – Vicki Hodgson (FA), Delasha Silva, Cassie Neylon, Carolina Starkhammar, Tshering Pem, Mitchell Roberts, Janet Simmons (FA) and Chaminda Ranasinghe) represented the National Championships this year.
