FESTIVAL SUPPORTING UNSDGs

Objectives of the festival
- To bring the community together, year on year, through an annual sustainability festival.
- To increase public understanding and engagement with the 17 UNSDGs in a festival setting which promotes good practices for sustainability and making them easy to learn and embed in daily life.
- Give a platform to individuals and organisations to collaborate and commit to sustainability initiatives.
- To measure the festival’s success in terms of attendance, public engagement and collaboration between individuals and organisations.
Outcomes of the festival
- More than 50% of survey respondents felt a strong connection with the four SGDs that are the base of the Festival.
- 52% of attendees attended the Festival as a result of various social media campaigns.
- 33% of attendees were unfamiliar with UNSDGs before the festival, highlighting a desire for greater sustainability awareness despite increased mention and education in business and news.
- 36% of attendees expressed a strong interest in learning more about sustainability.
- 56% of attendees increased their knowledge of SDGs as a result of attending the Festival, representing a 23% knowledge improvement.
