FESTIVAL SUPPORTING UNSDGs

Objectives of the festival
- To bring the community together, year on year, through an annual sustainability festival.
- To increase public understanding and engagement with the 17 UNSDGs in a festival setting which promotes good practices for sustainability and making them easy to learn and embed in daily life.
- Give a platform to individuals and organisations to collaborate and commit to sustainability initiatives.
- To measure the festival’s success in terms of attendance, public engagement and collaboration between individuals and organisations.
Outcomes of the festival
- 96% of visitors increased their knowledge on how to incorporate sustainability into their daily life.
- 46% of surveyed visitors attended to learn more about sustainability.
- 24% of surveyed visitors were not aware of the UNSDGs prior to attending.
- 37% heard about the Festival from friends and family
- 30% heard about the Festival through social media. Facebook was the most common platform.
- 22% heard about the Festival through their schools/ college/ university.
